Description
Few places in England can match the beauty, character and history of Bury St Edmunds. Rich in legend and folklore, the town has been admired by visitors and authors from Daniel Defoe to Charles Dickens. Bury is a wonderful place to shop and is at its busiest on Wednesdays and Saturdays when people flock to the Buttermarket and Cornhill for one of the best provisions markets in East Anglia. Places of interest include the old Abbey ruins, the Abbey Gardens, the Cathedral, the Theatre Royal, Greene King's brewery and Moyses Hall Museum.
